There is a time when every Berlin resident needs to go to Shephard’s at 238 Ripon Rd, Berlin, Wisconsin. While the California burger sounds like the name of a very big burger, it was the same size as a burger off the $5 menu at McDonald’s. For someone with a large appetite, this burger did not seem to be filling. It indeed did not do that. But what it did do was tempt the customer to go back to the counter and ask for five more. 

The flavor was immense and the tartar sauce was the highlight of the burger. It was delicious, and the expectation for the flavor of this burger was a satisfying experience.

The customer service was a great part of the experience of dinning here at Shephard’s– even with their usual long line, the welcoming employees still serve customers with a smile on their face. 

The burger was quite delicious, even though it wasn’t big enough to satisfy a toddler’s appetite. The fries were the most filling part of the meal. They were the perfect type of crisp and had a really salty but at the same time a really good taste.

Overall, the California burger and fries were delicious, and the customer service was great all together. The California burger deserves  a 4.5/5 rating. If you are going to Shephard’s, probably order two California burgers if you’re someone with a big appetite.
