Sports Briefs: Girls basketball grows closer with new plays

In the first few games the girls basketball team had to use all new plays and adapt to a new coaching style.

“The first few games were a little different because he was trying to figure out how we worked as a team and we were trying to figure out how he coached,” junior Kara Fritz said.

Compared to previous years, Fritz thinks the team has a new special connection that makes them work harder.

“The intensity has increased a lot in practice from previous years and as a team we are closer and better at working together,” Fritz said.

The new coach brings positivity to the team and high expectations.

“My expectation for the team is to get better, I think we have the potential to be really good. Our goal as a team is to just get better and win some games,” Fritz said.

The girls are 2-4 and the next game is home on Dec. 22 against North Fond du Lac.
