With spring break ending, spring sports are in full swing. The golf team has been excitedly preparing for their upcoming season. Some of the team has been using golf simulators to get some swings in before hitting the course.

This winter we have been going to different simulators to get swings in. This allowed us to keep our swings in shape. Also, a lot of guys have been lifting weights, which will help this year as well,” senior Tyler Johnson said.

One of the team’s many strengths is how well they get along with each other.

“I think that we have a great team bond and we all get along really well,” senior Bryce Werch said.

Although the team has great chemistry, some weaknesses are present.

“The biggest weakness for us is the limited amount of practice time we have. Our first practice is March 28 and that may be the first time we are able to get onto the course,” Johnson said.

The team has a lot of goals for themselves this season. They hope to have a strong season and go far in state.

“I would like to win conference, qualify for state as a team, then make a good run at state,” junior Frank Kujawa said.

For the seniors, this season means a lot to them. They hope to go out strong as well as make good memories.

“It means a lot because I’m going to savor all the time I have with the boys,” Werch said.

The team’s first match is April 5 at Lake Breeze in Winneconne.
