After being a long-term substitute at Berlin Middle School, business teacher Lindsey Rost joins the high school staff. She was born and raised in Colorado, but has been in Wisconsin for three years now. She started in the Berlin district as a para and long-term substitute in the Berlin Middle School until the 2023-24 school year.
“I heard about the job from working at the middle school. I was pretty familiar with the job opening, and obviously the school district, so it was word of mouth for me,” Rost said.
Rost attended college at Colorado State University. There she received a communication studies major and business administration minor and then her masters is in secondary education. She comes from a family of educators and says she was inspired by her family.
“I feel very welcomed here in Berlin because I came from a big city in Denver, Colorado,” Rost said.
Rost plans to show the importance and steps of basics so students have a little bit of an idea where and how to apply these skills to their everyday lives. As a person Rost says she likes to tackle projects. She knows the potential she has, and the potential she can use at her advantage.
Rost says she is excited to be here and to show her students and coworkers the potential she has and her level of confidence in these classes she teaches.
