KIND Committee spends their free time to help by stocking and counting the pantry shelves.
President Andy Collins from the 2012-2013 school year started a food pantry at Berlin High School. It is located on the second floor past the staff women’s bathroom. They get the supplies for the pantry from food drive competitions and sometimes community members. The pantry is for students/families who need “a little extra” something whether it is food, clothing, school supplies or personal hygiene items. It also has been used for classroom snacks.
“We knew that students and families could use some help and it prevents them from using the community pantry that is only open once a week,” KIND Committee adviser Ann Ragus said.
