Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, located on 500 S. Koeller Street, in Oshkosh, overall was an okay experience.
Buffalo Wild Wings is on the small side when it comes to restaurants. But once customers walk in they are greeted by a wide open space with lots of movement and color. Each wall has at least three televisions stretched along it, playing different sports games. This way people are never bored while waiting for food/drink, and no matter where customers are sitting there is a T.V. in their eye line. At the back of the building they have a large bar, showing off many different liquor bottles that they carry.
At the time there were only about four other tables occupied at the restaurant. The worker that seated us was not our waitress. The waitress came over almost immediately after we sat down, asking for our drink order, and we gave her both drink and food.
Buffalo Wild Wings is most known for their signature sauces on wings that have a range of hotness with different flavors. They also have burgers, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and multiple different appetizers and sides. There is plenty to choose from all day and all night.
When our food arrived at the table everything looked delicious, and we had everything that we needed but one thing, silverware. During the whole course of the meal the waitress did not bring us any silverware. Even though most of what we had ordered was finger food, every customer should be given silverware.
I ordered ten plain boneless wings with a side of everything pretzel knots and fries. The boneless wings tasted just how I was expecting, like chicken nuggets. The inside was warm and the outside was crispy. It’s not the softest thing to bite into like McDonald’s chicken nuggets are, but this is a good thing with less processed and unnecessary added ingredients. The pretzel knots were soft and salted well. They came with a mustard sauce and a beer cheese sauce. The beer cheese sauce was heavenly; the mustard on the other hand was not tasty. When eating the fries they were thin and both crusty and soft. They were also salted well, nothing that really set them apart from other places’ fries but they were good. At Buffalo Wild Wings I also tried a bite of the wild sauce on a boneless wing and the honey garlic sauce. The wild sauce was extremely hot and I couldn’t really taste anything but hot. But with the honey garlic they were also hot, but they had other flavors that made it more my kind of thing to eat. To drink, I ordered a strawberry lemonade that was superior to other lemonades because of the added fresh strawberries and a pretty glass.
But overall the food and the drink were really exceptional, and I definitely would return. But I would hope to get a different waitress, so that I would get some silverware. I would give this restaurant a rating of 3.5/5.
