Petals and Plows Greenhouse is a great place to visit. It can be found on a farm at 9129 Kaufman Rd, Ripon. Whether it is spring, summer, or fall there is always something to do at Petals and Plows Greenhouse. During the warmer parts of the year, their greenhouses are open, where they have a larger selection of flowers for sale, along with different fruits, vegetables, trees, and bushes.
Right now, Petals and Plows have their fall activities going. On Sept. 7 their corn maze was opened to the public. The corn maze consisted of three different mazes, each with its difficulty level (easy, medium, and hard). Ten dollars for adults (ages 18+), five for kids (ages 5-17), and free for kids 4 and under to get in. Along with getting the ticket to enter the corn maze, they give you a small version of the map with checkpoints labeled. The whole maze consisted of the NFL Draft logo, a cow, a block of cheese, a barn, a football, a beer, a tractor, a chicken, a windmill, and the words “Green Bay.” When going through the maze it’s easy to stay on the designed paths with them being about two to three people wide. It takes about an hour to get through the whole thing if you don’t get lost. Also there are checkpoints throughout the maze to help people locate where they are if they’re heading in the right direction.
What is also great about their corn maze is that it doesn’t have to be done all at once. After one or two parts of the corn maze, people can take a break and enjoy some of the other things that Petals and Plows have to offer.
Driving down the driveway the first thing to see is a big tent full of seating. In the tent, there is a counter with different kinds of treats/snacks, like caramel apples, cookies, and chips. There is also more than one place to take a cute picture with family and/or friends. Around the yard are pumpkins in all sizes, gourds, and dried corn are for sale.
Something that makes them stand out from other pumpkin patches and corn mazes is that Petals and Plows has a slide, sandbox, a basketball game, and a big tube to roll around in all for the smaller kids that come to the farm.
Overall a 5 out of 5 for a pumpkin patch/corn maze. It was fun going down the slide and navigating all the corn mazes. This is definitely a place that I would come back to year after year, in the spring/summer or fall
