Forensics is a public-speaking competition club, where members choose what type of public speaking they want to do, practice, and then compete in front of a judge. It is an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their public speaking skills and learn how to properly present information or speeches while getting feedback from fellow club members or competition judges.
Public speaking is an important skill for every student to learn in order to enhance their future endeavors. It can give students an edge during interviews and presentations that could potentially land them careers or enhance their future careers. It also provides students with good communication skills that they can use in their everyday lives, whether it be solving an argument with their friends or making plans with their families. Forensics teaches students important life skills through real-life practice.
Forensics can also boost a student’s confidence to have good public speaking skills. Many people have a fear of public speaking, and overcoming this fear can give students confidence to overcome other obstacles in their life. It also allows students to grow used to talking to strangers and presenting their information in an orderly way, which only boosts their confidence in the skill. The opportunity to learn through a more hands-on method may allow some students to quickly grow their public speaking skills in a way they couldn’t before.
Overall, The Red ‘n’ Green feels that Forensics is an excellent club that can help students boost their public speaking skills. These skills can help students with their future endeavors, like job interviews and presentations that require good public speaking skills. Students that are looking to boost these skills should look into joining Forensics.
