Van-Ornum, Marshall win Red ‘n’ Green March Madness Bracket Challenge

Junior Conrad Van Ornum is the 2025 Red ‘n’ Green March Madness Bracket Challenge champion. Van Ornum scored 1590 points, putting him in the top 98% of all brackets. The teacher champion was social studies teacher Jared Marshall. Marshall scored 990 points and was in the top 60% of brackets. Both winners received a 20 dollar Walmart gift card. Congratulations to all entrants!

Students share spring break travels
The ECC Perspectives literary magazine is publishing nine pieces of student work. The English Department selects the work based on writing merit and how the writing represents the school and the student body. “I know we've got lots of creative writers out there, so I encourage everyone else to think about that next year. It would be a great thing on your resume to say you are a published author,” English teacher Andrew Reise said. Art students win multiple contests
The Red ‘n’ Green staff won first place for General Excellence at the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Contest in Madison on March 7. “We hadn’t entered this contest before, so I was very surprised that we won in the overall category. I didn't know we were competing against bigger schools, and I was extra delighted to see my students’ work recognized,” adviser Shannon Kuehmichel said.
