On Monday the team lost 7 to 9 against Omro. Their current record is 1-16.
One of the players on the BHS team is Weston Sawallish. He has been playing baseball for about 8 to 10 years.
“No one inspired me but I joined because I really like baseball,” Sawallish said.
Another player on the field is Kale Bending. One thing he said that he enjoys about baseball is that he is able to play the game. He also likes to make friendships with the other players. The person that inspired him to play baseball was his dad.
“The biggest challenge for me is the lack of kids coming out for the team,” Bending said.
The coach Mike Webb has been with the school’s team for about five years. He played baseball in Oshkosh for the city team for five years as well. He has experience and knows how to resolve conflict between players if anything goes wrong.
“If I have any conflicts between players, I sit them down and resolve the issues,” Webb said.
The boys next game is May 27 at Shiocton. They then head to regionals.
