Quinceañera, a momentous cultural coming-of-age celebration
Freshman Josue Valtierrez Rodriguez (in red) has been playing soccer since the 2nd grade and has played for teams such as Wisconsin International Soccer in Spain and the YMCA. Valtierrez Rodriguez participated in last summer’s Donosti Cup held in Spain. Freshmen expand out of small town soccer

Spanish class numbers declining
Sue-Z Zenku, substitute teacher and owner of Berlin Cleaning, has been substitute teaching at BASD for five years. “It is my hope that I am able to build positive relationships with all students,” Zenku said.
Substitute teachers, more than just a body in a classroom
Jacob Jumbeck started as a student teacher and now is a substitute teacher for BHS. Jumbeck coached the JV2 basketball team. “Mr. Jumbeck has a great head on his shoulders. He will have a great career in education and coaching if it is the pass he decides to ultimately take,” Coach Joe Stellmacher said.
