According to Leahy 102 people registered for the turkey trot and raised $365 in donations.
Student council hosts a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The turkey trot is a 5K and 1 mile run/walk.
“It is a good community event that allows people to come together to do something positive, ” Student Council adviser Jennifer Leahy said.
The turkey trot happened at Nathan Strong park. The turkey Trot has been going on for about 10 years now.
“We accept donations. Those donations get used to support the community. Last year we donated money by buying gifts for the Green Lake County Angel Tree, hygiene drive for Boys and Girls Club, and to stock the pantry through Webster’s Marketplace (items went to Berlin Community Food Pantry),” Leahy said.
