Once the cookies are done, you can make frosting from scratch or purchase some and decorate the cookies however you would like!

This is the second installment in a series of Red ‘n’ Green family recipes. Each month a different Red ‘n’ Green staff member will teach you how to make a classic recipe from their family’s kitchen. They will also be looking into the history, stories and memories that are connected to it.
This cut-out cookie recipe is from my Aunt Cathy's 4-H cookie recipe book circa 1965. Everyone in my family looks forward to her cutout cookies during each different holiday season. The dough takes less than 10 minutes to make but you can make them your own by decorating them with frosting and sprinkles at the end.
