The Red ‘n’ Green will accept only signed letters to the editor, although names will be withheld from print upon request. Any student, faculty, staff, administrator, or community member is allowed to submit letters to the editor. We reserve the right to return letters for corrections before publishing. The staff will not print any material that is libelous, obscene, or malicious as that speech is not protected by the First Amendment.
I think the laude system is counter intuitive because instead of increasing the opportunities to be recognized in their class it feels invalidating to those of us who have always been ahead, it feels like instead of pushing others to be better, they’re limiting what the advanced students can do to remain at their standing.
