Autumn Nikolai is a Berlin High School Senior. She is excited to spend her last year of high school on the Red ‘n’ Green staff. Publications is her favorite class because she gets to meet new people during interviews.

The football team played in the playoffs in Mayville on Friday Nov. 1, losing 28-26. The seniors celebrated their senior night on Oct. 15, the same night they had their pink out game. The seniors made posters showcasing their whole volleyball career ever since they started playing. “This team has become like family to me and I am beyond grateful to have their support,” senior Samantha Bartels said.

On Sep. 27 the construction for the new playground was finished. On Oct. 1 the Berlin Area School District opened the playground for the kids and public to use. “The playground is open to the public so anyone can use it as long as it's not getting mistreated,” superintendent Dr. Emmett Durchi said.

Consumer Math, taught by math teacher Angie Clark, planted a tree in Riverside Park on Sept 25. “It was a gorgeous day and watching the trees grow can serve as a reminder for us to keep giving and to remind us that even a small amount of giving can make a big difference in our community,” Clark said.

Students dig up trees and clear the space for the new improvements in the garden. “My Ag classes are doing this along with help from Miller Farms, who used heavy equipment to remove things and fill in the pond.
