FFA Members show off donuts at the local Kwik Trip before delivering them to the local farmers. Each year, FFA completes two "donut dashes" to thank local farmers for the work they do. "We do a donut dash where we go out and show our appreciation for the farmers by giving them donuts in the fall and the spring during harvest and planting. We also do roadside cleanup out by Auroraville," FFA President Brady Pomplun said.

Hunter Boegh ‘22, prepares for his chemotherapy treatment starting tomorrow, Dec. 1. The chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant had to be postponed a week due to Boegh contracting a sinus infection. “He will be out of school for three to five months, and has to be very careful around outsiders because he will be susceptible to any and all viruses, bacterial and viral infections because his immune system will be very low. It takes time to rebuild his immune system,” Hunter’s mom, Kris Boegh said.

"I believe our students will greatly benefit from ELT. For students who are involved in sports, but want to be involved in other clubs, this will give them an opportunity to meet during the school day and not have to choose between one or the other. For students who need to make up class work or retake tests, this will give them an opportunity during the school day without giving up their time before or after school," history teacher Jared Marshall said.

In many languages, some variation of that word simply means black, like the color.
